Community Outreach

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace..." ~1 Peter 4: 10

As Jesus calls us to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of our neighbors, Second Baptist Church is continually expanding in the ways we reach out to our community with love. We strive to be the hands, feet, and presence of God beyond our physical walls. We do this through our Christian Caring and Helping Hands ministry who open a food pantry twice a month, provides community meals before each major holiday, gives out hundreds of toys to the children at Christmas, give away school supplies and/or uniforms before school begins, and more. We also offer events open to the community to meet the practical needs of living, which includes sessions on finances, parenting, end of life planning, health and nutrition, and more!
