Pastoral Care

“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God…” ~Acts 20:28

Second Baptist Church’s ordained leaders stand ready to provide a sustaining presence in times of need. For those experiencing illness, injury, grief, disability, isolation, the inability to attend church, or other difficult life situations, we provide hope and emotional and spiritual care. This includes but is not limited to hospital visitations, hospice visits, home visits, home communion, and support in times of crisis. When our members struggle with life’s challenges, we desire to be a hopeful and confidential presence, caring, listening, and standing with them so that they know they are not alone.
